Ranked as one of the nation’s top dental schools, the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics is proud to be an international leader in oral-health education and research. For more than 130 years, the college has been an integral part of the health-care campus at the UI and has been an invaluable resource to the entire state, having trained more than 80 percent of the state’s current practicing dentists.

As an educational resource, the Iowa dental program has influenced the course of academic dentistry; its case-based educational program has become a model emulated by dental schools around the nation, and its students regularly achieve outstanding academic recognition in all dental specialties and associated research.

Throughout the past 40 years, the dental profession has seen tremendous advances in technology and teaching methods, as well as changes in patient needs and expansion in the scope of research.

Honor Clubs

Annual support at every level is crucial to maintaining the quality of the UI College of Dentistry's programs. The college has established the Dean's Club to recognize individuals and organizations who provide generous annual support of $1,000 or more to the Dental Achievement Fund and other college-wide resources.

Contributors will be recognized in the college's annual Honor Roll of Contributors, receive periodic mailings about the college's activities and accomplishments, and receive invitations to a reception for honor club members held in conjunction with the annual Iowa Dental Association meeting in Des Moines. Dean's Club members are also invited to an annual Dean's Club event each fall in Iowa City.

In addition to the College of Dentistry's Dean's Club, the University of Iowa Center for Advancement has a variety of recognition programs to acknowledge the generosity of contributors. Learn more about university-wide honor clubs.
