Happy New Year, Dance Marathon Alumni!

The Big Event is right around the corner and we hope you can join in on the celebration! On Feb. 2-3, over 3,000 dancers, families, alumni, and community members will come together to celebrate FTK. Below, we have listed the ways you can help, including our Donate to a Dancer in Need fundraising push, a chance to tour the new University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, activities for alumni during Big Event weekend, and other events in your area.

Dancers Need Your Help UI Dance Marathon Alumni Group

Our goal is for every dancer to reach their fundraising minimum of $500 so they can experience the Big Event. Help us reach this goal by donating to a dancer. Click the ‘Event Alumni’ button when donating and please share this link with your friends to help spread the word.

Big Event Weekend

RSVP if you’re planning on attending any of the alumni activities throughout the Big Event, including:

  • UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital tour opportunity
  • Radiothon volunteering opportunity
  • Opening ceremony watch party
  • Alumni social
  • Morale dance showcase
  • All alumni support hours

Submit Nominations for Alumni Awards UI Dance Marathon Alumni Group

Many of you have organized events and helped spread your lime over the year, and we want to recognize you. We will recognize two individuals with the following awards:

  • DMAG Volunteer of the Year
  • DMAG Event of the Year

Please send your nominations to us by Jan. 12 and include the name of the nominee/event, a brief description, and why you believe the volunteer or event best promotes the mission of DM. Awards will be presented at the inaugural DM Hall of Fame event this spring.
