Aaron C. Hill Memorial Scholarship
Aaron C. Hill, of Ellsworth, Iowa, earned his B.A. degree in Biology from The University of Iowa in 1999. It was in the summer of his fourth-year of medical school at the UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, when he died at the age of 27 in a boating accident in 2004. He left behind many family members, friends, and classmates who were touched by his enthusiasm for life, his supportive spirit, and his friendly energy.
The Aaron C. Hill Memorial Scholarship was established by the UI Carver College of Medicine and Aaron’s friends and family to honor his memory.
This scholarship is awarded to first-year medical students whose character embodies the attributes of both perseverance and determination that Aaron epitomized.
