Dennis R. Schuldt Medical Student Scholarship
The Dennis R. Schuldt Medical Student Scholarship Fund was established in 2004, by Dennis R. Schuldt, M.D., to support scholarships for one or more deserving medical students, preferably from Northeast Iowa, in the UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine who have demonstrated community or college volunteer service while pursuing their academic studies. The scholarship was established in honor of his parents, Alfred and Pauline Schuldt, who instilled in him the value of education.
Dr. Schuldt is a fully retired radiologist who has many hobbies. He purchased and is restoring an old K-12 school in Sumner, Iowa. He purchased the school several years ago, and it is now the community’s historical museum. He spends part of his time there helping with the restoration and exhibits but also commits a great deal of time to his love of artistry. Dr. Schuldt is a wildlife artist, expressing his work in painting, pen and ink sketches, and some sculpture.
Congratulations on receiving the Dennis R. Schuldt Medical Student Scholarship
