Mark and Mary Knabel Fellowship: Helping Hands Medical Mission
This award was established in 2004 by Dr. Mark Knabel and Mrs. Mary Beaton Knabel. Both Dr. and Mrs. Knabel are graduates of the University of Iowa. The Knabel family has been active with Helping Hands Medical Mission for several years and it was their wish to provide similar opportunities for students in the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine.
This award shall be used to support one or more annual fellowships to deserving students during their fourth year of medical school to allow them to participate in Helping Hands Medical Mission Program. It was the donors’ hope that the fellowship would allow students to expand their knowledge and experience of healthcare in an underserved community.
Congratulations on receiving the Mark and Mary Knabel Fellowship: Helping Hands Medical Mission
