Paul and Marilyn Randels Scholarship
The Paul and Marilyn Randels Scholarship Fund was established in 2007, by Dr. Paul and Marilyn Randels, to provide scholarship support for students in the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. Paul is originally from the Des Moines area and Marilyn from Nebraska. Paul did his undergraduate degree at Drake and came to the UI for a medical degree which he obtained in 1959. Paul and Marilyn met in Iowa City and, after Paul served in the military, later came to California to begin his orthopedic practice. Paul said that he worked with several local pro athletes in addition to his regular patients. Eventually he became the chief of orthopedics at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital where he continued to serve until his retirement. Paul and Marilyn Randels established this scholarship so that future generations of talented medical students would have the opportunity to follow their calling.
Congratulations on receiving the Paul and Marilyn Randels Scholarship
