Brianne Bakken

Brianne was born and raised on a small farm near Ottosen, Iowa and attended Humboldt High School. Brianne started her journey at The University of Iowa in August 2008, with an interest in mortuary science. In 2011 Brianne was accepted to The University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, where she is now completing her fourth and final year of clinical rotations at various pharmacy sites. Applying her leadership style and outlook from PLS her freshman year, Brianne has been exceedingly engaged in the profession of pharmacy through her involvement with the Iowa Pharmacy Association and most recently on rotation with the American Pharmacists Association in Washington, DC. Brianne was featured as a Hometown Hawkeye in October 2013 and recognized for her devotion to representing the University of Iowa and her commitment to serving her profession at the state and national levels. Brianne is currently applying for positions in Health-System Administration Pharmacy Residency Programs at various places across the country. During her free time, Brianne enjoys supporting the Hawkeyes, hot yoga, golf, working at the swimming pool in Humboldt and volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City.
