Media Advisory: Chris Soules, Mary Ferentz, Hawkeye Football Player Visit UI Children’s Hospital Prior to Kickoff of Ladies Football Academy

WHAT: Iowan Chris Soules brought headlines to his hometown of Arlington when he appeared first on ABC’s “The Bachelor” and then on “Dancing with the Stars,” and now he’s coming back home, serving as celebrity spokesperson for this year’s Ladies Football Academy on Saturday, June 6.

Before he takes the field on Saturday, however, he’s coming to University of Iowa Children’s Hospital on Friday, June 5, where he’ll tour the hospital, meet with doctors and staff, and do an afternoon activity with some of the patients in the hospital’s activities gym.

Members of the media are invited for the afternoon activity with patients and to interview Chris, Mary Ferentz and a member of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team, starting at 3 p.m. Friday. To attend, contact Molly Rossiter by 5 p.m. Thursday, June 4.

BACKGROUND: The fifth annual Ladies Football Academy, a fundraiser for University of Iowa Children’s Hospital, will take place Saturday, June 6, at UI’s Kinnick Stadium.
