How can Camp Courageous become a model for improving water quality and provide unique experiences in nature for campers and visitors? Join us and find out by registering today!

Four teams of Iowa civil and environmental engineering faculty and students will present their strategies to enhance 24 acres of beautiful, undeveloped forest area at Camp Courageous. These designs involve a multipurpose trail system, a nature education center, stormwater management and detention plans, and systems for reducing contaminants in source water.

This free event will have complimentary appetizers and beverages.

Camp Courageous and the University of Iowa have collaborated with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Maquoketa River Watershed Management Authority on these four projects. We hope to see you there!

Chat from the Old Cap: Human Rights Prosecution

Pragna Soni (97JD) serves as a deputy chief for the department´s Human Rights and Special Prosecutions section. She supervises the investigation and prosecution of violent crimes that happen outside of the United States, where the U.S. has jurisdiction. She´s served in several other roles inside the Department of Justice including as a trial attorney and general counsel and has worked as an attorney for two private firms in the Washington D.C. area.

During her time at Iowa Law, Soni was a founding member and worked as the technical editor of the Journal of Gender, Race, and Justice. She graduated with distinction in 1997.

Join Soni as she talks about her work at the Department of Justice and explains how the University of Iowa College of Law helped prepare her for a career at the Department of Justice.

Hawkeye Huddle 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Indiana Convention Center Hawkeye Huddles are free and open to all Iowa fans and include cash refreshments, snacks, and appearances by Herky, the Iowa Spirit Squad, and the Hawkeye Marching Band. These events are hosted by the National I-Club. Big Ten Football Championship Game Saturday, Dec. 4 8 p.m. Lucas Oil Stadium The Hawkeye football team will play for the Big Ten championship against Michigan inside the home of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts. You can help stripe Lucas Oil Stadium by wearing black and gold based on your seat location. The winning team will take home the Amos Alonzo Stagg Championship Trophy. A win for Iowa would likely mean a Rose Bowl appearance. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
