Paul G. Epler Medical Scholarship
Paul G. Epler (M.D., 1957) was originally from Kansas, though his family moved around during his childhood because his father was a minister. They ultimately settled in Grinnell, Iowa. Dr. Epler received an undergraduate (B.A.) degree from Harvard and the medical degree (M.D.) from University of Iowa in 1957. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at both the University of California San Francisco and Stanford University.
After reading an article in the Medicine at Iowa magazine about an “Adopt-A-Student” program, Dr. Epler was inspired and decided to establish his named scholarship. The Paul G. Epler Medical Scholarship Fund is expended over a four-year period, providing an annual award to one chosen medical student for his/her four years of medical school, based on a combination of need and merit.
Congratulations on receiving the Paul G. Epler Medical Scholarship
