LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER, QUEER AFFINITY GROUP

Support. Inclusion. Acceptance. The University of Iowa Center for Advancement has established a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) affinity group that serves as a supportive and professional network for allied alumni. This group fosters a sense of pride in and commitment to the UI, as well as provides educational resources on LGBTQ issues, offers networking and social events, and supports current LGBTQ students at Iowa. Members received e-newsletter updates and are invited to participate in regional events and reunions.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, & Queer Resource Center
Your home away from home—the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Resource Center (LGBTQRC)—provides a supportive and inclusive environment, along with programs that empower students, faculty, staff, and community members to excel in academic endeavors, experience diversity, engage in activism, make positive choices, and serve their community.
Rainbow Alumni Network
The Rainbow Alumni Network provides opportunities for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals—as well as allied students, alumni, parents, and supporters—to serve as advocates for the UI, influence the role and direction of the university, encourage intellectual enrichment and professional growth, network and socialize, and elevate the stature of the university.
