KHAK Listeners Make a Lasting Impact for UI Stead Family Children's Hospital

Last week, our community showed up in a big way for children and families treated at UI Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of KHAK listeners, sponsors, volunteers, and advocates, the 98.1 KHAK Radiothon raised over $95,000 in support of patients and families at University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital.

Throughout the event, listeners had the opportunity to hear firsthand from families whose lives have been impacted by the care they received at Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Their powerful stories of hope, resilience, and gratitude highlighted the difference compassionate care can make during some of life's most challenging moments. We also heard from members of the hospital's Air Care team, who shared how they provide critical transport services that help children receive the specialized care they need when every second counts. 

Every dollar raised helps provide hope, healing, and support when it's needed most. We are deeply grateful to everyone who tuned in, shared a story, answered a call, made a gift, or helped spread the word.
